A Pittsfield man and a man and woman from Minnesota are in the Pike County, Illinois Jail as the result of separate incidents over the weekend.

Sheriff David Greenwood reports deputies conducted a traffic stop in Pittsfield just after 6 p.m. Friday.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of 21 year old Phillip Barnes of Pittsfield for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Then, just after 11 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a jack-knifed truck and trailer, along with a man and woman in the midst of an argument at the west edge of Hull.

That investigation resulted in the arrests of 37 year old Jennifer Lundell of Staples, Minnesota and 37 year old Elijah Sarbaum of Motley, Minnesota.

Both are charged with unlawful possession of meth with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis.

The incident is still under investigation and more charges are likely.
