Betty Jo Salokar
Betty Jo Salokar, 61, of Roland, Oklahoma was called home by her Heavenly Father on September 14, 2022 at her home. Betty Jo was born March 13, 1961 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Raymond Roam and Shirley Sharp Roam. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed arts and crafts, but most of all she loved serving praising her Lord and Savior. She was a devout Pentecostal who never met a stranger and would always share her love for the Lord with everyone she met. Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Shirley Roam, sister Kathy Woods and brother Paul Roam. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Jimmy Salokar of the home, children James Salokar and his wife Jennifer of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Regina Meggs and her husband Charles of Gans, Oklahoma, siblings Dwight Roam, Sr. and his wife Penny of Liberty, Oklahoma, Teresa Roam of Fort Smith and Doug Roam and his wife Sherry of Alma, Arkansas as well as six grandchildren, Miranda Nguyen, Alexander Meggs, Heather Meggs, Madison Meggs, Jace Salokar and Nico Salokar. Betty Jo’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Liberty Assembly of God Church in Liberty, Oklahoma with Pastor Andy O’Neal and Pastor Casey Johnson officiating with interment at Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight Roam, Sr., Dwight Roam, Jr., Charles Meggs, John Stone, James Salokar and Doug Roam. The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2022 at Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith.
