Miss Universe Australia Olivia Rogers Reveals Unusual Covid-19 Symptom

Most people with Covid-19 suffer from the typical sore throat and dry cough.

But former Miss Universe Australia Olivia Rogers has experienced one of the more unique symptoms associated with the virus: non-stop burping.

Olivia, 29, who tested positive on Monday after spending Christmas with her family in South Australia, has been belching frequently since her onset of symptoms.

‘I have the most random (but kind of funny) symptom – I can’t stop burping,’ the model wrote on Instagram.

‘I googled it and apparently it’s part of the gastrointestinal symptoms of Covid; not that common though.’

She then asked her 175,000 followers if ‘anyone else had this with Covid?’

Olivia then shared a screenshot of a Covid-19 fact sheet which showed belching as a less common symptom of the virus.

The influencer said she was initially unsure whether she had Covid and was only assuming she had due to her symptoms.

But she finally got her answer when her PCR test result arrived via text message.

‘Results are in. Good to know my consistent burping wasn’t just me being a bit feral,’ she joked at the time.

Olivia also revealed some of the other symptoms she’d experienced, posting a photo of a diary page in which she listed her ailments on a day-to-day basis.

Her symptoms included red eyes, headache, fatigue, joint pain, sore throat, dizziness, vomiting, runny nose and a sore neck.

She has to isolate for seven days from the first day of her positive test result.
