Mountain Home came away with one win on Monday, as they hosted Douglas MacArthur from Jonesboro for three junior high basketball games.
The lone victory was in the freshman girls’ game, as the Junior Lady Bombers defeated the Lady Cyclones 44-28. Laykin Moore led Mountain Home with 22 points, and Whitten Coleman added 10. The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 10-2 on the season and 1-0 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference.
Mountain Home did not fare as well in the freshman boys’ contest, as they fell to MacArthur 38-26. The Junior Bombers drop to 9-4 on the year.
The night began with Mountain Home’s eighth grade boys losing to MacArthur 39-18. The Eighth Grade Bombers’ record is now 1-5.
Both Mountain Home freshman teams will host Greene County Tech on Thursday.
