MaeRita Taylor, 83, of Paragould, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born May 2, 1938, in Beech Grove, to Joe and Viva Williams. MaeRita worked at Monroe. She was a member of Commissary Church of Christ and attended Evening Star Church of Christ for many years. MaeRita enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was awarded Yard of the Month one time. MaeRita was a caregiver and a loving mother and grandmother.
MaeRita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.V. “Buster” Taylor; sisters, Loraine Molloy, Marjorie (Burlis) Norman, Glenna (Charles) Rogers and Manae (Bob) Alexander; and a brother, Adrian Williams.
Survivors include her son, Richard Taylor; daughter, Michelle (Jim) Rogers; granddaughter, Stephanie West (Tommy Huffstetler); great-grandson, Levi West; great-granddaughters, Kendall and Taylor Huffstetler; and sister-in-law, Nancy Williams.
Visitation was Wednesday, March 23, from 5-7 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.
The funeral service is today, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Lonnie Pyle officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Shane Henson, Kenneth White, Terry Don Norwood, Steve Johnson, Levi West and Chris West will serve as pallbearers.
