SEARCY – Harding women’s cross-country placed second of seven teams Friday evening at the Steve Guymon Invitational. The Lady Bisons hosted the 5K race at the Harding Cross-Country Course.
Harding finished with 46 points, trailing only Arkansas Tech. Henderson State was third with 100 points.
Harding’s top finisher was junior Nieves Megias, who placed fifth in 19:06.0. She has been the Lady Bisons’ top finisher in 15 of her 16 career races.
Freshman Dinah Winders placed eighth, her first career top-10, in 19:21.9. The Lady Bisons’ other scoring runners were freshman Kaia Bieker (11th, 19:28.0), freshman Kaylie Washko (12th, 19:38.4) and junior Jada Trice (15th, 19:55.9).
Harding returns to action Friday, Sept. 30, at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
