Gov. Asa Hutchinson to tour tornado damage in Northwest Arkansas

WELL, GOVEOR ASA A HUTCHINSON WILL BE GOING ON A DRIVING TOUR OF ALL OF E DAMAGE IN SPRINGDALE TOMORROW. WE KNOW ONE OF THE PLACES HE’LL STOP IS THIS NEIL FISKELA PNT HERE IN SPRINGDALE, YOU CAN SEE THIS PLANT WAS DESTROYED A WEEK AGO TODAY IN THE F-3 TORNADO. WE SPOKE TO SPRINGDALE MAYOR DOUG SPROWLS TODAY, WHO SAYS WHILE THERE’S A LONG WAY TO GO. A TON OF PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE IN JUST EON WEEK. IF YOU WERE TO LOOK AT THE AREA FOR FORTY FIVE. LAST WEDNESDAY, WHEN I WAS FIRST DRIVING AROU IND THE DARK LOOKING AT IT VERSUS TODAY, THERHAE BEEN A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF WORK DONE. THE ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS AND GROUPS A NNDONPROFITS AND BUSINESSES, NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS THAT IT’S JUST BEEN AMAZING. ONE WEEK LATER, AND PEOPLE IMPACTED BY THE SPRINGDALE TORNADO HAVE STARTED MAKING SOME PROGRESS, CLEANING UP WHAT’S LEFT OF THEIR HOMES. ALL OF A SUDDEN, T WHEIND JUST PICKED ME UP, PICKED IT UP, AND ENTH IT THREW ME CLEAN OVER THERE. AND ALL OF SUDDEN I GOT A HOLD OF HIM AND ALL OF A SUDDEN DISHES AND EVERYTHING CAME ALL OUT ON THE CABINETS AND EVERYTHING.CABINETS AND TOMORROW, THE GOVERNOR WILL TOUR SOME OF THE SPOTS ALONG ETH PATH OF THE TORNADO. I THINK HE WANTS TO SEE IT AND WANTS TO KNOW THATE H SUPPORTS THE LOCAL EFFORTS AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. HE USED TO LIVE HERE, YOU KNOW, GOVERNOR ASA GOVERNMENT GRADUATED FROM HIGSCH HOOL HERE IN SPRINGDALE. SO I KNOW THERE’S THERE’S THERE’S ALSO THERE THAT, BUT I’M SURE I’M SURE HE’S IN HIS MIND AS EVERYONE CONTINUETOS CLEAN UP, THEY SAY THEY’RE THANKFUL FOTHER SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE HAVE CAME FR AOMLL ORVE AND HELPED THIS CLEAN AND STILL HELP IN THIS. THIS VERY DAY. IT’S REMARKABLE. IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO, SO MUCH WORSE. YOU KNOW, A LITTLE DIFFERENT TIMING WHEN YOU SEE THE DAMAGE IS JUST IT’S JUST AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE THAT NOBODY LOST THEIR LIVES. THE MAYOR YSSA THE DEPARTMENT, THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMT ENOF EMERGENCY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEK TO START DOING ITS DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS. ETH MAYOR ALSO WANTS PEOPLE WHO WERE IMPACTED BY THIS STORM TO KNOW THAT THE CITY WILL BE PICKING UP ALL OF THE DEBRIS. BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT IT ON THE CURB. IT HAS TO BE IN THE CITY’S RIGHT OF WAY. IT CANNOT BE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY FOR THEM

Gov. Asa Hutchinson to tour tornado damage in Northwest Arkansas

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson will tour tornado damage in Springdale Thursday morning, according to a news release sent by his office.Hutchinson will speak to the news media after the tour.The tornado began in Fayetteville and then moved through Johnson into Springdale. It destroyed and damaged homes and other buildings in Springdale and seven people to the hospital.Many people are still cleaning up from the storm. One tornado victim who was crushed by a tree has been in the hospital ever since.

SPRINGDALE, Ark. —

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson will tour tornado damage in Springdale Thursday morning, according to a news release sent by his office.

Hutchinson will speak to the news media after the tour.

The tornado began in Fayetteville and then moved through Johnson into Springdale. It destroyed and damaged homes and other buildings in Springdale and seven people to the hospital.

Many people are still cleaning up from the storm. One tornado victim who was crushed by a tree has been in the hospital ever since.
