Human trafficking appears as part of the plot on a Special Victims television drama. On occasion, the person is found and reunited with family. Sometimes, though, the opposite is true. The next show streams into the living room or den and the real-life victims are still fighting their kidnappers, pleading for their lives or to be set free. Alerts come across the television screen, notifications pop up on the phone, and the decision as to action becomes individual.
