Here are the top three stories in Bentonville today:

  1. A private plane landed safely at the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport after a landing gear malfunction. The plane, Cessna Citation, had two people on board and an Alert One was issued. However, the pilot was able to get the landing gear issue resolved while the plane was still in the air and could land safely. (4029tv)
  2. A ballot effort has been launched to allow stores in Rogers and Bentonville to sell alcohol on Sundays. Keep Our Dollars Local, a newly formed ballot question committee in Benton County, is arguing that it’s time for Rogers and Bentonville to follow communities in Benton County and throughout the state that already allow Sunday sales. “Every week, we’re sending thousands and thousands of dollars in tax revenue to other communities when shoppers have to drive out-of-town to buy their beer or wine on Sundays,” said Clay Kendall, chairman of the Keep Our Dollars Local ballot question committee.
